A cold drizzle met the Jennings Builders Supply and Hardware crew that volunteered to help build the latest home for Transylvania Habitat for Humanity in the Rosman Trails Subdivision. This will be Habitat's 65th home here in Transylvania County. About a dozen workers met with Habitat construction superintendent Mike Krauter to begin the process called "rough framing" which brings construction from the foundation up through roof framing and sheathing. Habitat's newest applicant and soon to be homeowner, Jill Swartz, was also on hand as a part of the crew. Swartz is working to fulfill the sweat equity portion of her application by working on what will become her new home.
