BMS Wrestling Wins Dual Team Title - Brevard, NC

The Brevard Middle School wrestling team recently closed out their season with a strong showing at the conference tournament and by winning the dual team Blue Ridge Conference Championship.
Brevard placed third overall at the conference tournament on Jan. 27. Individual placers included: Jesse Phillips and Abram Justice (3rd); Jarek Stewart-Karolewics (2nd); Nathan Stockton, Garrett Swicegood and Ethan Wike (1st). Swicegood was also named the tournament's Most Outstanding Wrestler.
Brevard capped off the year by winning the dual team title on Jan. 30 at Brevard High School. They defeated Macon before going on to beat Flat Rock in the championship match. The team is coached by Chad Laney and Gary DeHaven.
