WNC Military History Museum To Offer Monthly Movies And Lectures - Brevard, NC

The WNC Military History Museum will present a new program of monthly movies and lectures free of charge to the public. Events will take place at the museum.

“Movie Night” will be the fourth Thursday of every month from 6-8 p.m. The first presentation, on Thursday, March 22, will be “The Lost Battalion,” the true and gripping story about the nine companies of the United States 77th Division, which were cut off and surrounded by German forces in the Argonne Forest during the Meuse-Argonne Offensive of 1918.

“After Lunch Lectures” will be held on various military topics on the third Wednesday of every month at 2 p.m., beginning on April 18. Watch for further information regarding lecture topics and feature movie presentations.

The WNC Military History Museum provides an avenue for people to appreciate and honor the men and women who served in our Armed Forces. The museum is located in Brevard at 21 E. Main St., directly behind the gazebo. Hours are Wednes-day through Saturday 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. and Sunday 1 to 4 p.m. Admission is free. For more information, call (828) 884-2141.
