Bulldogs Cruise Past Tigers 18-3 In SMC Showdown

In an early season clash of undefeated teams, the Murphy Bulldogs showed they are still the team to beat in the Smoky Mountain Conference – and possibly the state – as they pounded out 12 runs over the first two innings on their way to defeating the Rosman Tigers 18-3 on Friday.

Entering the game, Rosman was 4-0 and Murphy was 5-0.

The Tigers had scored more than 11 runs in each of their wins and were looking to snap a three-game losing streak against a senior-laden Bulldogs squad.
