The Chamber's Surprise Patrol celebrates member Number 7 Arts Gallery

The Surprise Patrol Team at the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber of Commerce conducted its first mission of 2018 on Friday, March 23. Armed with noise makers, silly accessories and some goodies, Chamber staff Clark Lovelace and Emily Crowley Martin, Chamber Ambassadors Stefan Young, Kathy Mlay, Allie Carrington and Courtney Mason, along with Hunter Mason, set out to surprise five Chamber businesses in the downtown Brevard area.

Meredith Baldridge of State Farm sponsored this Surprise Patrol, showing her support of her fellow Chamber members and allowing the team to conduct their lively mission.

Carl F. Root, CPA, Number 7 Arts Gallery, Platt Architecture, Broad Street Wines and Quixote Fine Cuisine all received a warm and boisterous greeting accompanied by a box of delicious cookies from Blue Ridge Bakery and a public celebration of their business through local media and Chamber e-news. The team also surprised one of the Cham-ber's members who works from home. Instead of barging into his home unannounced, he answered an excited phone call from the Surprise Patrol Team and received a celebratory email to thank him for his membership and involvement. Brevard IT Services was the lucky recipient of the surprise phone call.

The Chamber team conducts Surprise Patrols a few times a year as a simple and joyful thank you to its members, who are selected randomly for each patrol. This event is a fun way to show appreciation for the dedication of their members and to celebrate them with the community as a whole.
