Rotary Club Of Pisgah Forest

For its April 18 meeting, the Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest’s guest speaker will be Page Lemel, Transylvania County Commissioner since 2012 and president of Keystone Camp. Lemel will describe the State of the Young Child in Transylvania County based the 2015 report and will update the club on progress made in addressing issues.

For the month of April, the club’s speaker chair is John Brown, and the Rotary International theme for the month is “Maternal and Child Health.”

The public is always welcome to attend the breakfast meetings, listen to the guest speakers and share a friendly and delicious buffet breakfast at the Pisgah Fish Camp every Wednesday at 8 a.m.

Stitches Of Love Group

The Stitches of Love group has created and donated more than 22,000 handmade articles to local charities in the past 11 years.

The next meeting will be Monday, May 14, at New Hope Presbyterian Church, located at 3070 Sweeten Creek Road in Asheville from 7-9 p.m. All skill levels are welcome.
