Pisgah Forest's Nate McCall Earns Solo Wings

Recently, Pisgah Forest teen Nate McCall earned his Federal Aviation Administration solo flight certificate. This means that he is qualified to fly airplanes by himself, though he will have to earn the private certificate in order to carry passengers.

McCall was "infected with the flying bug" about five years ago. In May of 2015, he learned that the local unit of Civil Air Patrol (CAP) offered its cadets the opportunity to fly, so he joined.
