City Looking To Extend Its Path

Brevard City Council has voted to approve an application for grant funds from the N.C. Parks and Recreation Trust Fund to help extend the multi-use path.

During last week’s regular meeting, the council approved the application.

The city has already received a grant from the N.C. Department of Transportation totaling $400,000, with a 20 percent local match, to build a pedestrian bridge over the Davidson River from the Estatoe Trail, and the city has purchased property from Comporium for $75,000 to extend the Estatoe trail along Railroad Avenue.
