Fostering Families...Raise Hope...Foster Dreams

There are signs of spring around the county...daffodils blooming, flowering shrubs, as well as a multitude of political signs and signs that read "Open Your Hearts to Foster and Adopt." These last "signs" of spring speak to a great need in this community. They are a symbol of the campaign to recruit and train foster parents during April, Child Abuse Prevention Month.

"Having more licensed foster homes in Transylvania County would be a win-win situation for our foster children, but also will give more time for the social workers to do their job and will give great joy to the foster families...
