Teen Arrested After Schools Put On Lockdown - Brevard NC

A 17-year-old Davidson River School student was arrested after he allegedly communicated threats on the social media platform Snapchat, which resulted in a soft lockdown at several county schools on Monday.

The student was located and arrested Monday by the Brevard Police Department for one misdemeanor count of cyberstalking and one misdemeanor count of possession of drug paraphernalia.

He was placed in the Transylvania County Detention Center under a $10,300 bond.
