Hamilton "Ham" Williams Jr.

Hamilton "Ham" Williams Jr., 75, of Brevard, passed away May 18, 2018.

He was born July 19, 1942, in Brooklyn, N.Y., and grew up in Scotch Plains, N.J.

He graduated from Lehigh University with a Bachelor of Science degree in mechanical engineering, and the University of Colorado with a Master of Science degree in mechanical engineering, and was a member of the Alpha Sigma Phi fraternity.

From 1966 to 1986, he served his country in the Air Force, reaching the rank of Lt. Colonel. He also worked at Boeing as a mechanical engineer, retiring in 1998.

He was married to his beloved wife, Renee, for 52 years.

He is survived by his sons, Erik, of Morehead City, N.C., and Greg, of Midlothian, Va .; sister, Laura Honeycutt, of Chapel Hill, N.C .; and grandchildren, Elizabeth, Alexander, Roswell, and Sinclair.

He also leaves behind dogs, Josie and Odin, and his cat, Mr. Biscuits.

He enjoyed Hiking, fishing, mushrooming, and walking his dogs. He was a volunteer at Muddy Sneakers.
