In the current fly fishing world it seems that all the glory has shifted to fishing dry flies to large gaudy streamers that look like a small chicken being drug through the water. While that will keep your cool fishing image up, the truth it that you are trying to convince those two or three fish in the river to eat the streamer when every fish in the river is eating nymphs, even the large ones.
