Blue Devils Put Up Solid Showing At State Track Meet

Brevard's Graham Green carries the baton as part of the Blue Devils' ninth place finish in the boys' 4x800 meter relay at Saturday's 2A state track meet in Greensboro.

Coming off a thrilling 2A West regional meet that saw 12 Blue Devils earn a trip to the state championships in Greensboro, Brevard's athletes proved they belonged by notching a series of strong showing.

The highest finish on the day belonged to the girls' 4x800-meter relay.

Led by Tristen Berry, who opened the race with a lifetime best 2:29 half-mile leg, the Lady Devils ended up sixth overall.

Dominique Karesh, Madeline Dierauf, and Alyssa Lefler rounded out the squad that ran a massive season-best time of 10:21 in the biggest test of the year.
