First Baptist To Celebrate 50 Years Of W.E.E. School

Through the vision and planning of Barbara Smart-Smith and the assistance of other church leaders, the First Baptist Church Weekday Early Education Program opened its doors in the fall of 1968. The first enrollment consisted of 12 three-year olds, 15 four-year olds and 20 five-year olds. The staff was Peggy Boggs, Carol Irwin and Barbara Smart. The dream became a reality.
