Blue Ridge Community College Honors Law Enforcement Training Graduates

The Blue Ridge Community College Basic Law Enforcement Training (BLET) program recently graduated 11 cadets. Family, friends, faculty and staff were present as the college honored the college's 32nd academy of graduates on Wednesday, May 30, at the Thomas Auditorium.

Transylvania County Sheriff David Mahoney was the keynote speaker.

These graduates completed 36 separate blocks of instruction over the past four months, including firearms; driver training; motor vehicle law; and arrest, search and seizure. The BLET program is filled with practical exercises and an extensive ethics section...
