In the 2018 season, Camp Muddy Sneakers celebrates five years of kids learning, exploring and discovering nature. This summer, Camp Muddy Sneakers is branching out by offering new nature experiences in partnership with local businesses.

During the Brevard day camps, Trail Blazers (rising fourth- through seventh-graders) will go on a Kayaking trip with Headwaters Outfitters Outdoor Adventures and journey to The Sassy Goose near DuPont State Forest for a morning of permaculture. Nature Explorers (rising first- through third-graders) and the older campers will spend some time with the local Serpentarium Magic learning about reptiles.

Camp Muddy Sneakers engages children in learning about nature and exploring the outdoors in Brevard, Hendersonville and Asheville. Over the past five years, the camp has built upon the success of Muddy Sneakers' school-year programs, creating a unique, high-quality day camp experience that keeps many campers coming back year after year.

One parent recently shared her child's enthusiasm for Camp Muddy Sneakers.

"My daughter just finished her second year at Camp Muddy Sneakers and loved it," she said. "This is hands down one of the best camps. I highly recommend it."

Brevard's last sessions of the summer run July 23-27 for Trail Blazers and July 30-Aug. 3 for Trail Blazers and Nature Explorers. In Hendersonville, the final session of the season kicks off July 16-20 for both age groups. Asheville's camps for Nature Explorers and Trail Blazers (up to rising sixth-graders) take place July 9-13.

Registration for limited spaces at all the camps is still available at
