Land Of Waterfalls Camera Club

The Land of Waterfalls Camera Club presents two outstanding local photographers at its meeting on Thursday, July 19. Photographer Walter Arnold will share amazing images and techniques from his “Art of Abandonment” series of the interiors of historic, abandoned structures. Photographer David Day will speak on “Composition: Expressing Your Vision.”

The Land of Waterfalls Camera Club meets on the third Thursday of each month at the Transylvania County Parks and Recreation Center. Social time is from 6:30-7 p.m. and meeting time is from 7-9 p.m. Guests are always welcome.

Rotary Club Pisgah Forest

The July 18 meeting of the Rotary Club of Pisgah Forest will feature Donna Aiken-Colflesh, executive director of Mountain Neighbors Network. Mountain Neighbors Network is a member-driven not-for-profit organization helping seniors live independently in their homes and community. It is located in Western North Carolina, serving Transylvania County residents 60 years of age and older by offering a network of resources addressing a variety of physical and social needs, including transportation, task assistance and social activities. The public is always welcome to attend Pisgah Forest Rotary’s breakfast meetings, which are held at the Pisgah Fish Camp every Wednesday at 8 a.m.
