The small building behind The Main Street Barber now houses thousands of jewelry items as well as art, furniture and gifts.

Next to the Beethoven statue at 19 N. Caldwell St. is a new downtown business. The Bear and the Peacock, Jewels by Julie features new, trendy, designer, vintage and antique jewelry.

Local artists frequent the store for beads, natural stones, findings and vintage jewelry to incorporate into their works of art. Dogs and their owners find Eli and Jojo's Bakery Bites, which are produced in Brevard.

The store proudly features white squirrel and peacock original oil paintings by artist Arlene Caruso and Lichtenberg Wood artwork by Rodu Folk Art.

Bob, Julie and their son R.J. relocated to this area in June of 2017 from Florida where they operated a jewelry store at the world renowned Renningers Antique Mall in Mount Dora, Fla.

Shoppers can expect an affordable selection of thousands of jewelry items from $5 as well as artwork, furniture, gifts and original t-shirts. The Bear and the Peacock, Jewels by Julie is located in the blue free-standing building adjacent to The Main Street Barber shop.
