Fayssoux Starling McLean & Company Comes To BRCC

Ridge Community College (BRCC) announces the performance of the Fayssoux Starling McLean & Company set for Sunday, Aug. 19. An Americana singer and songwriter from Spartanburg, S.C., Fayssoux is known for duets and harmony vocals on Emmylou Harris albums.

"I've always loved Fayssoux's voice. She's one of my favorite singers," said Harris.

She has also sung with Linda Ronstadt, Dolly Parton, Rodney Crowell and Ricky Skaggs, The Whites and songwriter of the year Donna Ulisse and The Seldom Scene! She sings songs of Patsy Cline, Hank Williams, Merle Haggard and more. Fayssoux has two albums produced in Nashville by Hall of Fame writer and musician Peter Cooper. Fayssoux Starling McLean & Company is an exciting and skillful combination of Brandon Turner on electric guitar, Franklin Wilkie on bass and Scotty Hawkins on drums.

Music by the Lake is sponsored by GlobeTreks and supported by a grant from N.C. Arts Council.

The Aug. 19 event is scheduled from 5 to 7 p.m. The concert is free and open to the public. The public is invited to bring lawn chairs to enjoy the music by the lake. In the event of inclement weather, the concert will be held in the Patton Building. A food truck will be available on site.
