Food Matters Market & Cafe Brevard celebrates six years of business on Saturday, Aug. 11. The store will celebrate with samples from local vendors, a raffle, barbeque and live local music.

Vendors will be in the house from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. offering information and free samples. Vendors include Chocolate Heaven, Fields of Gold, Lotsa Loaves, Sunburst Chef & Farmer, Pisgah Gourmet and Gaia Herbs. Customers can enter to win a gift basket from Devita Natural Skin Care, Alaffia, Bee Delightful, Weleda and many others. The grill will be fired up from noon-2 p.m. featuring Highland's Family Farm grassfed burgers and Sunburst Trout. Live music by the local Crooked Pine Band is from 1-4 p.m.

Food Matters Market & Café Brevard opened in 2012 with a mission to provide healthy, quality organic and natural food and products to smaller communities. Equally important was supporting the local community as well as local products, farmers and businesses.
