Children Learn About Summer On The Fly -Brevard NC

While the summer camp season is coming to end, the memories created for most campers will last a lifetime, and for one local camp owner those memories he hopes will instill a sense of wonder, in particular, about fly fishing.

Green River Preserve owner Sandy Schenck has been teaching fishing at his 3,000-acre camp, located on Reasonover Road at the headwaters of the Green River, for nearly 30 years. His delight in watching a child learn the basics like casting, knot tying and learning to roll cast is childlike in itself.
