August 16, 2018

On Thursday, Aug. 23, at 6 p.m., bring your friends and join us to see "Run Silent, Run Deep," a 1958 American black-and-white film starring Clark Gable and Burt Lancaster.

The movie is based on the novel by Commander (later Captain) Edward L. Beach Jr. The title refers to "silent running," a submarine stealth tactic. The story describes World War II submarine warfare in the Pacific Ocean and deals with themes of vengeance, endurance, courage, loyalty and honor, and how these can be tested during wartime.

Free popcorn will be served at the museum at 21 E. Main St. in Brevard.
