Cradle Of Forestry Works To Bring Back Monarch Butterflies

The Cradle of Forestry in America heritage site invites the public to attend the “Bring Back the Monarchs” program on Sunday, Sept. 16, from 1 to 4 p.m. in the Forest Discovery Center.

Monarch Watch Conservation Specialist Joyce Pearsall will present a program about the monarch butterfly, including its life cycle, annual migration and the threats the species faces at 2 p.m. Additionally, the program will cover the importance of their sole larval food source, milkweeds. Expect an engaging mix of a biology, geography, math and culture.
