Hydration Is Still Important As Weather Cools - Brevard NC

The temperatures are still high, school sports are in full swing and lawn manicuring continues as leaves begin to fall. All of these events lead to more sweating, which means more water losses. High activity levels and high temperatures are a dangerous combination that can lead to dehydration.

Mild dehydration can sneak up on all of us and is defined as a 1 percent body weight decrease from water losses. Dehydration is sneaky in that thirst will not occur until the body...
