Transylvania's 'Natural Heritage' Discussed At TNRC Meeting - Brevard NC

The Transylvania Natural Resources Council (TNRC) reconvened after a summer hiatus recently to discuss, among other things, the N.C. Natural Heritage Program.

The TNRC is a monthly roundtable meeting made up of local conservationists, U.S. Forest Service rangers, state park superintendents and others.

At its most recent meeting, the TNRC heard from Wes Knapp, the western North Carolina ecologist and botanist for the state's Natural Heritage Program.

Knapp works in the Asheville regional office and manages the 50 most western counties in the program.
