Monarchs and Midterms

As my husband and I finish up another season of raising, tagging and releasing Monarch butterflies, it is hard not to feel a sense of sadness at their declining numbers in North America and the part humans have played in their decline. Although several factors are blamed for their decline, the use of glyphosate (Roundup) is a major cause.
