Edney Understands Medical Needs

When I was volunteering in The Free Clinic, my friends and acquaintances were surprised that the majority of my patients did not have Medicaid. This was indicative of a common concept that poor people had Medicaid. There are many poor and working people without a medical safety net.

Private insurance is simply not affordable for many lower salaried working people. These people go to the Emergency Room for acute care and most often do not have a doctor to attend their routine and preventive care. This situation is expensive and counter-productive.
