Forest Plan Pushed Back - Brevard NC

The U.S. Forest Service has pushed its plan revision process back until early 2019, with no specific date set. The new management plan will guide the Forest Service for the next 15-20 years for both the Pisgah Ranger district and the Nantahala National Forest.

According to Alice Cohen, a Forest Service spokes-person, the reason for the new schedule is because the plan revision team wants to better incorporate the public in the process and to give forest visitors another 90-day comment period to provide input.
