Young Archers Earn Top Awards At District And State 4-H Competitions

Transylvania County's first 4-H archery club was organized in May, 2018 under the leadership of Jessi and Nic Owen upon their completion of the NC 4-H state volunteer leader certification prog-ram for archery. Soon after naming their club the Backwoods Broadheads 4-H Archery Club, the seven founding members set the goal of entering the West District 4-H Archery Tournament in Polk County in August.
