Bearcats Defeat Blue Devils, Lady Tigers Fall In First Round

The Brevard Blue Devil boys’ soccer team lost their fourth straight conference match on Monday, while the season officially came to an end for the Rosman Lady Tiger volleyball team on Tuesday.

Brevard lost on the road to Hendersonville, 5-0, Monday night.

It was their fourth straight setback against Mountain Six Conference foes.

The loss drops Brevard’s record to 10-8, with a 1-7 mark in conference play.

The Blue Devils had a road match against Pisgah, a team they previously defeated 4-2, on Wednesday.

Brevard’s final game of the regular season will be next Tuesday when they host Franklin.

Rosman Falls In Three

To North Stanly

The Rosman Lady Tigers went down swinging on Tuesday night, as they fought to the end in a three-set loss to North Stanly in the first round of the 1A playoffs.

Rosman lost the first set 25-16 before bouncing back to make a match of things in the second set.

However, the Lady Tigers ultimately fell 25-22.

The Comets closed things out in the third set, winning 25-14.

Rosman ends the year with a 10-15 record.

Moved To Thursday

With heavy rain in the forecast for Friday night, Rosman High School officials have made the decision to move Friday’s home football game against Murphy to Thursday night.

The Tigers will now host the Bulldogs on Thursday at 7 p.m.

There are no changes to the Brevard game, as the Blue Devils are still slated to host Hendersonville on Friday at 7:30 p.m.
