Approval of the $68 million school bond will raise property taxes from 51 cents per $100 to approximately 62 cents per $100. Our taxes will go up a whopping 21.5 percent.

Approval of the $68 million school bond will give the School Board the authority to spend, without further oversight, the money on any repairs, renovations or new construction at three schools: Brevard High, Rosman High and Rosman Middle.

Approval of the $68 million school bond will catapult Transylvania County from the 12th lowest property tax rate in the 100 counties in the state to approximately the 30th lowest. Add...
