Trio Of Tigers Named To SMC All-Conference Team - Rosman NC

A freshman, a sophomore and a senior were selected as the standouts for the Rosman Lady Tiger volleyball team, with all three earning a spot on the Smoky Mountain All-Conference team.

The trio, from youngest to oldest, includes, Elizabeth Daves, Ashley Hoxit and Avery McNeely.

McNeely and Daves received first-team honors, while Hoxit was named honorable mention.

Senior Avery McNeely was Rosman's vocal leader on the floor and came in second on the team with 134 kills.

As one of the team's senior leaders, this was McNeely's third full season on the varsity roster.

She missed roughly half of her junior season with a foot injury, but bounced back to finish second on the team with 134 kills.

McNeely was also second in blocks (15) and fourth in aces (37).

Daves was the youngest player selected and proved to be one of Rosman's defensive stalwarts.

The freshman led the Lady Tigers in digs (322) and serves received (496).

She was also second in aces (49) and third in kills (120).

Hoxit had a breakout season in her first year on the varsity team, leading Rosman in kills (148), aces (66) and blocks (37). She was also second, with 293 serves received.
