Glancing Back: Grey Repeats As National Champion

The following briefs are from Thursday, Nov. 21, 1968, edition of The Transylvania Times.

Three 17-year-old Haywood County youths were found guilty recently of juvenile delinquency in destruction of government road signs in federal court in Asheville. Two of the boys had previous records and were sentenced to three years in a National Training school. The third boy was given a three-year suspended sentence, placed on probation and fined $400. The sign destruction occurred on the Blue Ridge Parkway near Wagon Gap Sept. 28. The FBI assisted Parkway Rangers in the investigation.
