Brevard's First Full-Time Fire Chief Sworn In - Brevard NC

The Brevard Fire Department (BFD) has its first full-time fire chief with the swearing in of Bobby Cooper.

Cooper, the county's former Emergency Services director, took the oath of office administered by City Clerk Jill Murray at the council's meeting on Monday.

In addition to being the EMS director, Cooper has been a part-time firefighter, engineer and EMT for the Brevard Fire Department for 10 years.

He has also been active member of the Lake Toxaway Fire Rescue since 1992, serving in multiple positions, including chief.
