Heartbreak In Reidsville, Rams Defeat Blue Devils 24-21 - Brevard NC

For a team that had overcome so much, Friday night's loss is going to sting for some time.

After taking a 21-10 lead midway through the third quarter, the Brevard Blue Devils watched as the Reidsville Rams scored 14 unanswered points ­­­­– including the game-winning touchdown with two minutes left in the game – to win, 24-21, and put an abrupt end to Brevard's dream season.

If it were a boxing match, the Blue Devils might have won on points.

But Brevard couldn't find the knockout shot they needed when they had the chance to put the Rams away.

In the end, it was a costly Brevard...
