Chamber Visitor Center Volunteers Celebrate The Holidays

December 24, 2018

Just ahead of the “snowstorm of the century,” Visitor Center volunteers gathered at the Brevard/Transylvania Chamber to celebrate and to be celebrated.

“Our volunteers should be celebrated every day! They create the perfect impression of our community for people who are visiting our area for the first time,” said Sally Burnett, Visitor Center coordinator. “Over 30 people with interesting and varied backgrounds and experience comprise our volunteer staff. With their warmth, their knowledge of the area and their ‘I’m-here-to-help’ attitude, they make people feel truly welcomed. In fact, return visitors often make a point of stopping by the Visitor Center just because it’s such a positive, friendly place.”

“That’s exactly the kind of welcome our community wants to extend to visitors,” said Clark Lovelace, executive director of the Chamber and Transylvania County Tourism. “And that’s exactly why we’re so lucky and grateful to have such a wonderful volunteer family.”

Visitors and residents are welcome to meet the volunteers and to explore the excellent resources available to one and all. If anyone wants to explore becoming part of the Visitor Center volunteer family, contact Burnett at sally@brevardncchamber. org or (828) 883-3700.

The Brevard/ Transyl-vania Visitor Center is located at 175 E.
