Elizabeth Brown Sellers

Elizabeth Brown Sellers, 94, of Wallace, N.C., passed away peacefully in her home Monday, Jan. 7, 2019.

Born Aug. 8, 1924, in Brevard, she was the daughter of the late John and Callie Brown. She was predeceased by her husband, Howell Sellers, and three brothers, John Brown Jr., Lawrence Brown and Dwight Brown.

Surviving are her three children, Judith Armentrout and husband, Max, of Boulder City, Nev., Beth Hartley, of Cary, N.C., and son, Tom Sellers and wife, Peggy, of Wallace.

She loved gardening, genealogy and reading. She and her husband were master gardener volunteers in Transylvania County for numerous years.

There will be a visitation Wednesday, Jan. 9, 2019, at Quinn-McGowen Funeral Home Wallace, from 6 to 8 p.m.

A private memorial service will be held by her family Judy, Max, Beth and friends, at a later date.

She will be buried with her husband in the Western Carolina Veterans State Cemetery in Black Mountain.
