Ice Patch Blamed For Road Accident

An ice patch reportedly was the cause of a three-car accident on Rosman Highway on Friday morning.

According to the N.C. Highway Patrol, the accident was called in at 7:51 a.m.

“There were two vehicles, a Toyota Tacoma and a Toyota Sienna, traveling eastbound on U.S. 64, and the Tacoma, which was in the right lane, hit a patch of ice and hit the other vehicle (the Sienna), causing them to both go left-of-center, and both vehicles hit the other vehicle (a Jeep Patriot) traveling westbound toward Rosman,” said State Trooper John Prescott.
