School Math And Science Fair, Expo Set

Students have a new robotics option at Brevard Middle School. LEGO robots are used to teach basics like coding, and a new robot for the FIRST Tech Challenge layers in engineering, design and more detailed problem-solving that are typically reserved for high school teams.

The Thirty-First Annual Dr. A. Mickey Church Math and Science Fair and Expo is the place to be this Thursday, Jan. 31. Interactive exhibits and demonstrations of math, science and technology will begin at 6 p.m. in the Rogow Room at the Transylvania County Library.

High school projects from the TIME Science Research Program at Brevard High School will be judged earlier in the week before they head to Western Carolina University and the upcoming regional science fair in February.
