Holocaust Survivor Coming To Brevard

Holocaust survivor Walter P. Blass will speak at 7 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 18, at Brevard College's Dunham Auditorium.

The event is free and open to the public.

By age 5, Blass was taken out of Nazi Germany, and by age 10 he was a refugee fleeing the German Army in France, according to a press release.

At 11, he arrived in New York with his parents and with no knowledge of English.

Six years later, as a freshman at Swarthmore College, he wrote that he wanted to have a career in the public sector, the private sector and only start teaching when he had learned enough about how things real...
