Council Reverses Vote On Changes To Steep Slopes

On Monday, Brevard City Council voted 3-2 against a proposal that would have allowed for construction on steep slopes from a maximum of roughly 25 percent to a roughly 50 percent grade.

Councilmen Maurice Jones and Mac Morrow supported the change, and Councilwoman Maureen Copelof and Councilmen Gary Daniel and Charlie Landreth voted against the change.

Landreth changed his vote from the January meeting, when he joined Jones and Morrow in support.
