Lady Blue Devils Advance To Playoffs

For the first time in eight years, the Brevard Lady Blue Devils are in the postseason.

Despite losing their first-round Mountain Six Conference game to Franklin, Brevard made the cut when the state brackets were announced on Saturday.

The Lady Blue Devils flipped their record this season, going from 8-15 last year to finish 15-8 – the team’s most wins dating back 12 years.

That earned them a No. 23 seed and a date with No. 10 seed Surry Central.

The Golden Eagles finished the season 22-5, coming in second in the Western Piedmont Conference.
