T.C. Henderson Girls ROAR For United Way

T.C. Henderson Girls ROAR "Change for Good" participants wear their new Live United T-shirts and display their "thank you" certificates. T.C. Henderson School of Science and Technology Girls ROAR participants have definitely set the bar high. Eight girls raised $101.71 for United Way of Transylvania County (UWTC) in just a week and a half. The fourth and fifth grade girls created posters and spoke to every class in their school to encourage participation in their "Change for Good" fund drive.

In addition to asking others to contribute, these eight girls did extra chores, gave up tooth fairy money and emptied their piggy banks to make their own contributions. Funds raised by the T.C. Henderson Girls ROAR "Change for Good" c...
