Going To The Store
Benson’s Store (as told by Johnny Benson): I was just a baby when my parents had the old store, but I still remember a little bit. It was just an old country store. They sold groceries. Mom used to tell me that when I was about 3 years old the venders that stopped by would buy me a coke to get me to whistle. They closed it in the mid-1940s just after the war (WWII) ended.
