Colorectal Cancer Awareness Month Emphasizing Early Detection

Colorectal cancer is the third most common cancer and the second leading cause of cancer death in the U.S. It is also preventable with regular screenings, which can find abnormal growths before they turn into cancer.

In honor of colorectal cancer awareness month, Transylvania County residents are invited to attend a Colon Cancer Awareness and Remembrance Event from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m., Saturday, March 23, at the library’s Rogow Room. This event is free and open to everyone.
