Operation Crowflight is just one of the Cold War operations in which Col. Richard Woodhull Jr. (Ret.) served as USAF pilot.

Woodhull will tell about his experiences in a free lecture at the Veterans History Museum of the Carolinas on Thursday, March 28, from 2 to 3 p.m.

Woodhull's Cold War and Vietnam-era military and diplomatic assignments serve up an exciting array of stories, including his service:

•As jet tanker crew commander during the Cuban Missile Crisis

•Piloting U-2 high altitude reconnaissance aircraft

•Flying with the Brazilian Air Force

•As foreign attaché.
