Return To Vietnam Sparks Old, New Connections

The year 1967 was traumatic for those serving in what was then known as the Republic of South Vietnam, or simply "RVN."

The U.S. had committed close to a half-million young men to this undeclared, yet very real, "war." That year, 11,153 Americans would die in battle, yet elected representatives did not see fit to "declare" it a full-fledged and fully committed "war."

Therein lies the rub, and we all know how well our politicians "fought" that war.
