Tigers Split With Knights, East Tops Lady Blue Devils

The Brevard Lady Blue Devils soccer team had a tough time against one of the top 10 teams in the state on Monday, falling to East Henderson 8-0 on the road.

The Eagles, currently ranked fifth in the state among 2A teams, scored five goals in the first half of a rainy game, tacking on three second-half goals.

It was the second straight match for Brevard facing a top opponent, as they squared off against sixth-ranked Pisgah last Friday.

Not only are the teams tough, the Lady Blue Devils have lost two players to concussions over the past few week.

Brevard’s record stands at 4-4 overall...
