Easter Egg Hunt

If you wish to donate, we need candy to stuff 2,000 eggs. We are looking for small individually wrapped candies to go in the eggs. Everyone is invited from the Lake Toxaway community to join Oak Grove Baptist Church on Wednesday night, April 10, to stuff the eggs. Bring a favorite dish of food and join the potluck dinner at 6 p.m. This will be followed by activities for the children, while the adults stuff eggs. It is a great time to catch up with your neighbors.

The egg hunt event will be held at noon, Saturday, April 13. Free hot dogs for the children and adult lunches of hamburger or hot dogs for $5. This is a fundraiser for the Oak Grove Children’s Department. The egg hunt will begin at 1 p.m. After the egg hunt we will have organized games with prizes awarded.

Work Day

The Lake Toxaway Community Center pre-season work day will be held on Saturday. Help the Lake Toxaway Community Center to get ready at 9 a.m. for another great season of music and dinner. We need to spiff up the playground, put up new signage, move merchandise from the big building out back to the Bargain Barn, and clean and prepare the kitchen, pantry, drink station, etc., for the season. There will be chores for many talents. Bring your friends and neighbors and all of the family. The Bargain Barn is getting ready for another big season. We are accepting donations for the Bargain Barn but co clothes, TVs or mattresses. Call Susan at 966-4026 or Jan (904) 557-1898 to make arrangements. Time to do some spring cleaning, so bring all those treasures down to the Lake Toxaway Community Center and help us raise money.
