Webb To Discuss Debut Cookbook At Highland Books

April 11, 2019

This upcoming Saturday, April 13, at 2 p.m., Highland Books will be hosting local author and well-known healthy lifestyle blogger Leah Webb to discuss her debut cookbook “The Grain-Free, Sugar-Free, Dairy-Free Family Cookbook.”

After obtaining a Bachelor of Science degree in environmental biology from Appalachian State University, a Master of Public Health degree in environmental health sciences from Georgia Southern University, and a health coach certificate from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition, Webb worked in the fields of gardening, education and nutrition.

Health and wellness took on a whole new meaning for Webb when her son was born with a severe anaphylactic allergy to wheat and her daughter with cystic fibrosis.

Webb realized both health issues could be managed with a strict holistic diet and lifestyle, but one that she found freedom in given her extensive health back-ground.

From there she started her blog, “Deep Rooted Wellness,” which focuses on healthy eating and nutrition, organic home gardening, and fun, beneficial physical play.

Highland Books is excited to welcome Webb to talk about her new cookbook, grown from these experiences, as well as demonstrating a recipe from the book in the store.

For more information about this event or to reserve a copy of Webb’s book, contact Highland Books by phone at (828) 884-2424 or by email at http://[email protected]. Highland Books is now located on 36 W. Main St. in downtown Brevard between Mayberry’s and Hunters & Gatherers.
